Holding Stories is a training programme for people who facilitate, commission or work with storytelling in community and organisational settings. It focuses on the ethical, relational and practical responsibilities involved in holding other people’s stories — particularly stories connected to harm, identity, marginalisation or lived experience.
The training supports participants to develop confidence, clarity and care in creating storytelling spaces that prioritise consent, dignity, boundaries and choice.
It is suitable for facilitators, artists, community workers, educators and organisations using storytelling as part of their practice.
We offer accredited training in Understanding Restorative Storytelling at Level 1 and Level 2, awarded through OCN NI.
Our courses combine restorative practice, storytelling and lived experience to support people to develop confidence, ethical awareness and practical skills in using storytelling for connection, learning and social change.
Training is suitable for individuals, community practitioners and organisations, and can be delivered online or in person.
