Brief info
Gerard was a founding member of Voicing the Void and a much-loved part of our steering group. He was deeply committed to using the power of storytelling to inspire others and bring about change, especially around mental health. Through his advocacy and outreach, Gerard encouraged people to share their own stories, spreading awareness and breaking down stigma.
Tragically, Gerard passed away by suicide in 2024. His motto was “live to inspire others” – and that is exactly what he did. In his memory, Voicing the Void is committed to carrying forward his vision, honouring his legacy, and continuing to inspire hope through story.
